September Fishing "It's Still Hot"
I tell you whut! The water is still hitting 87 degrees in the afternoon, which is not good for local species. The Mangrove Snapper are still hitting strong and a few red fish here and there, but I’ve not been able to go to the nearshore reefs in a few weeks, due to wind and adverse weather conditions. Things should be calming down now that we are coming in on October and the cooler months. Let’s hope so. Also, let’s remember, your fishing guide can do a lot of things, BUT, there is no Magic Fishing Zone that they can bring you to and guarantee fish. You must be able to case and at least reel in. Knots and issues with the reels can be avoided by paying attention to your tackle while casting and patiently listening to your fishing guide’s instruction. They want you to catch fish, you must help them by doing a few small things. One is, closing your bail with your hand and NOT snapping it close by cranking the handle. This causes wind knows and will get in the way of your catching fish. Call Me Today if you want to chat, Cap’n Doug (941) 587-6150
